Spend time speaking with and getting to know the lawyers you are considering.  Ask all the questions you need to make sure that the lawyer you are considering has the experience, resources and the time to handle your mandate competently, on schedule and on budget.

In-house legal teams have been diversifying and expanding the panel of law firms/external lawyers they call upon for assistance.  The reasons for this include calling upon the distinct experience of individual professionals, regardless of the law firm, as well as recognising where the most value can be derived from the legal budget.

Every mandate is different, requires different expertise and resources.  Speak with your lawyer.  Be sure you have a clear understanding of the budget.  Compare a proposed budget with several competitors - hold an RFP.   Once you award a mandate.  Be involved.  Track progress.  It's your budget.  Make sure you get value for every dollar you spend.

Diligenter has roots as an adverb in Latin and means carefully and diligently.  The more modern French use of the word is as a verb and means to expedite.  Expediting the work of its clients carefully and diligently.  That's the Diligenter.Law way!
